ScanBox LLC, a leading information management and data governance consultancy in the Caribbean , today announced the expansion of its Data Protection Compliance and Privacy Services, including its dedicated Data Protection Officer as a Service (DPOaaS) offering , following a highly successful public sector initiative with the Ministry of Agriculture Fisheries and Mining.

In December 2024, officials from ScanBox Limited and the Ministry of Agriculture gathered to mark the completion of data protection awareness training for senior managers in the agriculture, fisheries, and mining industries.

Additionally ScanBox successfully played a critical role in digitization effort at JCPD, which was funded by UNICEF , involved transforming the National Disability Registry from shelves of manual paper files to a structured, secure digital archive. This transition directly improved service delivery for persons with disabilities and strengthened the organization's alignment with both the Disabilities Act (2014) and the Jamaica Data Protection Act.
